Studio 2017 confirming multiple segments in error

Question

I'm working with Studio 2017 from Chinese to English. Frequently when I confirm a segment using ctrl+enter, the current segment and the following segment are confirmed at once. I am sure this is not due to me double pressing enter. Has anyone else had this problem? I purchased 2017 more or less as soon as it came out, and this problem didn't happen until they released the first service pack a couple of weeks later.

That's an odd one... I've not come across this before and the only explanation that springs to mind is sticky keys. Maybe check you have not turned them on?

Ok, so having continued using the software over the last few months, I have found that the problem only seems to appear intermittently. I think what is happening is that Studio is registering multiple key presses, and it may be something to do with insufficient RAM being available at the time. The other thought I had is it might be something to do with pre-translation processing. There are still some quirks when translating from Chinese, and I'm not sure if this is part of the issue or if it's more likely the RAM. Either way, perhaps something for the bugfix team? It's definitely not sticky keys though, I'm sure about that

 Hi Paul Golf it's only something for the bugfix team if we can find a way to show them how to reproduce it. So if you can do that I'll happily log it, otherwise you'll need to have the support team investigate it, and when you do this you must be able to show them the problem. However, I don't believe this is a problem to fix in Studio, I think it's more a problem of identifying where the issue is coming from externally and sorting that. If it was Studio I'm sure we'd see more cases than this. 
 Perhaps tell us more about your setup: 
 - IME being used (although not relevant if you are translating from Chinese I guess) 
 - keyboard in use and drivers 
 - does it happen with other languages or only from Chinese?

Sorry for digging that deep in the threads, but I want to help. Please try to disable or change antivirus software. As far as I am concerned, Trados 2017 is not compatible with Sophos. I had a similar problem and after uninstaliing Sophos multiple confirming problem has disappeared.
