The TM may contain invalid translation units

Dears,

I have encountered a big problem opening one TM in SDL Trados Studio which has been inherited by me from my prevous predecessor (I work in a corporate translation department).

The message says it is corrupt...The full description is attached. I wonder if there is a little hope to restore this memory?

  • Hi there, I'm using Trados Studio 2014 and in the last couple of days I've encountered the problem of 2 corrupt TMs (error message reads 'the tm may contain invalid translation units) and unfortunately my back up programme has deleted older backed up versions preceeding corruption (since corrected obviously my fault). I'm worried obviously because I am unable to recover the TMs also with SDLTM Repair, but also as I am at a loss as to why it occurred and how to stop it from happening to other TMs in the future.

Could I send you error details and perhaps the corrupt TMs to see if something can be salvaged?

Many thanks for your time and any possible suggestions

    Magda
