The TM may contain invalid translation units

Dears,

I have encountered a big problem opening one TM in SDL Trados Studio which has been inherited by me from my prevous predecessor (I work in a corporate translation department).

The message says it is corrupt...The full description is attached. I wonder if there is a little hope to restore this memory?

  • Dear Paul, I found myself in the same exact problem. The only difference is that I know what happened, my laptop crashed spectacularly and since then, the TM is corrupt, won't let me update. Funnily enough, while I surf my project, I can see some segments all the segments I've been working in except the last 10 or so. And I can keep working and adding segments and it will work. The problem seems to be that there are 10 or so corrupt segments, but that doesn't let me Update Main Translation Memories, or Reindex the TM, so it sucks.

Can't send you the TM as it's over 130 Megs, and I have been fighting with IT for their username and password for SDL website, but they talk about NDA's and all that, and I have been ages behind them and have apparently better things to do than help me. Could you please email me the alternaive download to the TM Repair, please?

I am using Trados Studio 2017 SR1 (by the way, lots of crashes, I must agree with other people here, but that is a topic for another day!)
