sdlxliff using TMX file settings must be converted from bilingual to TMX on one machine

Hello all,

We get TMX files for translation from a client. We use the TMX settings file to convert to bilingual. After translation, when someone else tries to open the bilingual, enables the TMX file settings, they are not able to 'save target as'. It is looking for a link to my computer and the other person cannot save target. Is there a workaround for this so I am not the only person who can 'save target as'?

We are using Studio 2014 SP2. We do NOT have a server setup at this time.

    Hi ,

    Maybe worth trying a couple of things:

    1. Increase the maximum embedded file size on the SDLXLIFF filetype (under "General") so that the TMX is included in the SDLXLIFF as binary content
    2. Provide the original TMX to the users so they can select that file when asked

    One of these may help.

    I've been trying to find a workaround to this issue (other than the original Studio project creator saving the target files) and I'm still having troubles.
    I've tried number 1 above, it's at 100 MB and my TMX is 735kb.
    Number 2, I have the original TMX in the source language folder, but I cannot 're-link' the source TMX to a new path.

    I've opened the Project package (sdlppx) to a different computer that the project was created. Source TMX has been copied to the source content folder. I replaced the target file with the final updated/translated target file. I've updated the file type to enable the TMX file settings. I have tried to 'save target as...' and 'Generate Target translation' and continue to get the following error:
    Failed to save target content: Could not find a part of the path 'C:\Users\xxxx\Documents\Studio 2014\Projects....' - original location of tmx source file, on a different computer

    Is there something obvious that I'm missing, in order to update the source file path to a new location? I realize that in the future I need to save the Studio project to a central location, but for now, is there a different workaround, if I cannot get access to the original computer the Studio project was created on? I've only had this type of problem with the TMX file setting type.

    Still using SDL Studio 2014 SP2 11.2.4435.12. Thanks in advance for anyone that can help!
