Korean appears as weird symbols

Question

Hello! 
 I translated doc file from English to Korean. When I exported the file, word file contains not Korean symbols, but weird squares in exchange. 
 Can you assist?

Hi Lera, 
 
Sounds like a font issue. Which font are you using in Word for the target file? You can change the font that should be used under "Font Mapping" in the filetype options. Do this before you prepare your project. So you might have to do this: 
 
1. Fix the font in File -> Options -> Filetypes -> (the Word filtype you are using) 
2. Open the source file again as a new project or single file translation 
3. Pretranslate from your TM 
4. Save the target file
