SDL Trados Studio 2017 - unsupported version of MultiTerm

Question

Trados Studio has done it again! Out of the blue, without any warning, I cannot use my termbases anymore - the error message being "This termbase cannot be opened because it has been created with an unsupported version of MultiTerm". The thing is, the error message is lying - I have re-created my termbases in the latest version of MT. All other relevant updates have been done as well. So what's the problem here? Does anyone know of a solution?

An update - I tried repairing Studio. That went as expected, followed by an automatic update. And now the termbases function also works. So, thank you for your attention. Perhaps you can record this answer somewhere so that others that may come across the same problem, can use it too.

Hi Margus Enno , There are two reasons I know of for this: 1. You have W7 and are not running SP1, or 2. You have a semi-colon in the path to the termbase, or the name of the termbase Maybe check these out first. Regards Paul

 I understand that you are using Studio 2017- 
 But as this issue was apparently resolved earlier-please accept my apologies for asking the same questions. 
 When you open Studio and MultiTerm- what are the version numbers?

Also please check that Windows has not only downloaded- but indeed installed all the latest updates.
