Configure Trados to ignore optional hyphens in the source text

Hello,

We translate mainly from German into other languages. For German websites, we need a lot of optional hyphens to avoid strange line breaks. Unfortunately, these optional hyphens impact severely on our match values, as you can see in the screenshot:

Is there a way to configure the filetype (XLIFF) or any other settings so that the optional hyphens are ignored and do not impact on match values?

We are using Trados Studio 2022 SR 2 (17.2.11.19134) and Trados Studio 2024 (18.0.1.2259).

Any help is appreciated! :)

    Unfortunately not in a xml file. What you can do, is simply use Toolkit to remove the hyphens from the source in the SDLXLIFF file.
