Trados 2022 trial version cannot read TDB

Dear Community,

due to a technical problem, one of my colleagues was provided with a temporary solution: Trados 2022 trial version.

However, when the TDB is added to the project settings, no results are provided, neither automatically, nor through manual search.

A quick check showed that Multiterm has not be installed on this "temporary" PC. Can this be the reason of the search failure? To me, Studio is a tool that MUST read terminology databases even if Multiterm sw is not on the PC (like Widget, for ex.). Or am I wrong?

Thanks in advance!

In my opinion, since this measure is temporary, the Widget bar could be a solution. And supposedly it will need no reorganization (though the process is easy, I must admit).

Lydia, since I see you are an expert in termbases, could you please explain why the Widget bar fails so much? Or is there any alternative option for sharing the TDB with non-translators? I have a thread where I explain our problem in detail, but until now no solution has been found.

The issue is very important and I would really appreciate your help.

This is the thread:  MultiTerm Widget bar malfunction

I have a video posted showing how the Multiterm Widget crashes all the time.

Best regards and thanks in advance for your help!
