Apart from ensuring your MutiTerm version is matched to your Studio version, what are your termbase settings defined as:

What are some example terms that are not being picked up as enabling settings such as Enable recognition of two-letter terms and Enable recognition of two-letter terms, may apply to you.

I would also suggest playing around with the minimum match value as well as the search depth value.

What I've found is this: If a term is in my TB but is not showing in Trados, if I eliminate it from the TB and then re-enter it, it shows in Trados. 

A while back I was having getting new any terms to display. I then did a rebuild of my TB. It could be that the terms that I entered before rebuilding my TB are the ones that are not being displayed now.

But if you are able to do so safely and securely, you are welcome to send me your termbase with a few clear examples.
That said as a work around, do consider exporting, your termbase. Then to recreate. This only requieres 2 files namely the xtd and the xml. 

Did you check to see if your Studio/MultiTerm versions are on the same?

Both MT and Studio are 2017 SR! 14.1..... 

After a few days of behaving quite well, MT is again giving me headaches: 

Now, it's only been about ten days since I last recreated by TB. I can do it again. But since the only thing I have done is add new terms, and use MT interactively with Studio, I wonder how often I will have to stop working for 15 minutes to recreate by TB.

Any suggestions on avoiding this problem would be appreciated.
