Term Entry Mix-Up

Hi everyone,

I recently started using Multiterm Desktop to produce a multilingual company terminology. The termbase is stored on a network drive, so theoretically anyone with Multiterm Desktop can access it (currently I am the only one using it).

I have an entry that shows differently. The entry has a few synonyms. However, another entry for a different term has the identical entry ID. Selecting a certain synonyms will show me different versions of the entry. I definitely did not clone nor merge the entries in question.

Does anyone have a clue what might have happened? It seems I will have to delete the entries in question and redo them to resolve this problem.

  • I think MultiTerm Desktop does not support network drives – it leads to all kinds of weird errors. MultiTerm is NOT a multi-user application. There is the Widget, which is hardly supported any more and always crashes on me, that was the attempt to give other users read access to the TB.

The cloud version of MultiTerm is very expensive (the team version, at least).

I think you should either give that widget a try or see whether the cloud team version works for you. If you use the Desktop version, you HAVE to store the TB on a local hard drive.
