Hi Steve,

EDIT: sorry, Steve, I should have tested this out first. It DOES happen in my (the latest) version of MultiTerm! 

I imagine it is happening because of the recent changes in address when the SDL sites were being updated to RWS who now own SDL... Paul Filkin would this be the case?

Steve, until the Help shortcut is updated correctly, the MultiTerm 2021 Help site is here: RWS Documentation MultiTerm21 (you can change the version year in the dropdown menu).

I rather assumed you'd tested this before making your suggestion. I've just spent the last hour downloading and installing the latest version of Studio (MT was already up to date) and running Windows repair.

Obviously, if SDL (or RWS or Trados, or whatever they're calling themselves this week) have moved their help pages without without bothering to update the software that uses those pages, and without bothering to set up a redirect from the old to the new URLs, then the help isn't going to work.

This is another reason why the help files need to be local rather than online. The other reason is that not everyone is always online -- I sometimes work at locations with no WiFi or even mobile phone coverage, which means any online resource becomes useless.

A couple of points for Paul to pass on to whoever is failing to get this right.

I had of course found the online help. What I was trying to access was the functionality of being able to hit a Help button or F1 and getting context-sensitive help.

I'm sorry I misinformed you. However, it wasn't a waste of time because if you had the latest version of MultiTerm already, then you needed to update Studio the the latest version also, and a Windows Repair is always a good thing after updating any software.

I'm sure Paul Filkin or someone else at RWS, such as , will pass on the point you've made about the links to context-sensitive help in MultiTerm failing as well as those in your second post.
