How to change the setup of a termbase or to create a new one based on the old one?

I have a termbase which was created when I was new to Studio and Multiterm. It works, but I made mistakes on the entry level, index level and the properties of the descriptive fields. Once populated, it is impossible to make changes, but I would like to set things right. Is there a way to create a new termbase, correct the mistakes on the various levels, and import the terms out of the old one? I have Multiterm 2019.

  • You are right Paul, but I still use MT Convert occasionally. Today I had to export only three languages from a big TB containing many languages and using media data (pictures). Well, the export process worked - but GC did not create proper links to images. So I sticked back to the old fashioned way and used export, save TB definition, create a new TB using this definition and modifying as needed, then importing the XML. Now the TB works.
What I want to say is, that GC does great job, but cannot resolve all needs around the TB. So I still think we need MT Convert. The only thing could be putting all convert processes (convert, create TB, import) into one go instead of doing three separate operations.
