Language weaver

Question

Hello everyone, 
 
 I have installed language weaver in my studio 2024 software. 
 Unfortunately, when I wanted to add Language Weaver in my translation memory and automated translation I get the following message: 
 authentification failed, object reference not set to an instance of an object. 
 
 Any suggestions?

 Hi Karen, 
 Did you install it using the Plugin Management tool, or via the AppStore site? 
 If so, you probably don't have the latest version Language Weaver... uninstall it, restart Studio then u se the on-board AppStore tool in Studio 2024 via (tab) Add-Ins > RWS AppStore > Plugins. 
 Let me know if this doesn't work

Hi Lech Lachowski 
 I don't use Language Weaver so I'm adding Emma Goldsmith as Emma does use it. 
 Also, because, as I recall, she helped Emma with a Language Weaver issue since the installation of Studio 2024. 
 My question above, to KAREN McGRATH , was about my recommendation to use the Plugin Management tool to uninstall Language Weaver then reinstall it using the onboard AppStore in Studio 2024, as this should iron out any teething troubles for Karen.

 Yes, that's a good idea. That way, if there is a way that RWS support can help you by looking at your setup for you, they will give you a case number. 
 Lech, to do this, click the +New button top right of your screen to create a new thread, give your question a subject title then below that, explain your question, giving as many details as you can. 
 The staff at RWS can only generate one Support Case per thread so this is why you need to start a new thread. KAREN McGRATH started this thread so if she needs to, she can ask for a Support Case to be generated for this thread.

 I don't know how to overcome this issue but I'm sure that will be able to look into this for you and if necessary set up a Support Case for someone to help you directly.

KAREN McGRATH a few things to try: Are you based in the US? 
 Can you log into: https://us.portal.languageweaver.com/login 
 If no (and you are sure you are not under UK) - a different team will need to support you but I will facilitate as there maybe something wrong with your Language Weaver Account. If yes you can log in, it basically confirms the issue is local. A few things to explore: 
 
 Can you access Language Weaver Machine translation not by using the plugin, but from Cloud Based Resources? If yes - then it reconfirms this is more than likely a plugin related issue but potentially you have a workaround. 
 Have you tried to remove TranslationProviderCredentialStore.bin including bin2 from: C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Trados\Trados Studio\Studio18 Looking forward to your clarifications 
 What do the logs say: C:\Users\[~yourname~]\AppData\Roaming\Trados AppStore\Language Weaver Provider

Please follow Emma Goldsmith recommendation by posting a fresh topic. I dont know the full scope of issues you are facing but the basics to cover and you can confirm in your new post would include: 
 Can you log into: https://us.portal.languageweaver.com/login or into: https://portal.languageweaver.com/login depending on your location Have you removed ranslationProviderCredentialStore.bin including bin2 from: C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Trados\Trados Studio\Studio18 What does logs say: C:\Users\[~yourname~]\AppData\Roaming\Trados AppStore\Language Weaver Provider 
 Outline your concerns with as much detail as possible. Including screen prints and error logs where possible so that we can help you further.
