It is essential that you provide us with the full error stack so we can see what might be happening
Also we need to know what Operating System, exact version of Studio and Plugin version that you are using.
Often it helps to remove the plugin from the following location (close Studio first)
C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\16\Plugins
then reinstall the correct version via the appstore.
