Just thought I would list the problems I have run into while test-driving PDF Assistant for Trados (Inside Trados Studio 2026).

First of all, I was running it, and it seemed to never get anywhere.

So I ended up cancelling it:

Cancelling was harder than it needed to be, but eventually I got the dialogue cancelled.

I soon realised that it was not getting anywhere because a Microsoft Word dialogue box was hidden behind all the other program windows, which I could not access. I only saw it once I had cancelled everything:

Then, I got the following error:

This was not true, because the PDF in question was literally only a single page. Admittedly, it was a strange single page with a sort of very long layout, hard to explain. Anyway, I tried a different file. This new file had about five or six pages. Quite a complex PDF, but nothing my trusty ABBYY FineReader OCR Editor couldn't easily handle in under a minute. 

I eventually gave up on this one too, however, because I got sick of looking at this dialogue:

Think I'm going to uninstall it for now.
