Korean font in Passolo 2015?

Question

I would like to select a font for translating to Korean. 
 The preferred one is Gulim. Other options would be Dotum or Malgun Gothic. They all come with Windows Vista and later, and I can use them in Word, for example, but Passolo does not show any of them in its font selection list. 
 What can I do?

This is a Windows know-how question and not releated to SDL Passolo. The font itself is installed in Windows but it is hidden/disabled by the OS. Go into the list of installed fonts in your OS (C:\Windows\Fonts) and search and select i.e. Malgun Gothic. In the menu click on Font Setting and disable the setting "Hide fonts based on regional setting". Maybe it uses another wording as I just have the German OS version. Then Malgun Gothic and all the other fonts are listed in the font selection dialog of SDL Passolo.

Interestingly the Font dialog box in Passolo indeed does not list these font names (on non-Korean OS; it works fine on an Korean OS, which is strange). However, any font such as Arial seems to work for me too even on my English OS (Windows 7). So when I pick Arial I will see Korean characters as Korean characters. Possibly this is because although Passolo does not list Arial as supporting Korean, the characters are based on Unicode and Passolo is Unicode-based, so shows them. It seems to me the Passolo Font dialog box may need updating to list more fonts though. I could log this as an issue on our end if you agree.

Hello Achim, Yes, I found that setting and I can see all the fonts now! It would probably make sense for Passolo to display a hint on the settings page for those languages where the fonts are suppressed. Thank you very much! Hans
