Upgrade from Passolo 2009 to 2022

We are using an old Passolo version (2009) and after a .NET Upgrade (4.8), we are unable to parse correctly our content.

So I would like to confirm:

  • If we move to Passolo 2022, will be possible to import Passolo 2009 projects? Do we have backward compatibility?
  • Finally considering version 2022, will mirroring (for Arabic) work out of the box?

Thanks in advance,

Marco

  • When you open a Passolo 2009 project using Passolo 2022, it will automatically convert the LPU into the new format and will create a BAK file. It will be necessary to reupdate the whole project and re-parse all the sources.

Mirroring for RTL languages is also working in Passolo 2022. Please note that mirroring works different when comparing standard Windows resources with .NET resources. With standard Windows resources, entire dialogs are mirrored, while with .NET each control can provide its own options with which to perform the mirroring. This makes the localization of RTL languages under .NET much more complex.
