Before getting too far down the rabbit hole.... can I install my Passolo License Server using FlexM on AWS?
While testing can I also keep the License Server on it's current machine? i.e. Have the License Server installed on 2 machines until the AWS install is confirmed as working.

Are we still talking about Passolo 2016? As far as I remember the support of FlexLM (with the passolo.lic files) ended with Passolo 2011. Then there was the unlucky episode with Nalpairon licensing at SDL which was used by Passolo 2015 and from Passolo 2016 there was actual Safenet/Gemalto/Thales licensing... (hey, other companies were acquired more often than we)

SafeNet sounds familiar. It's been a few years since it was set up. This is what is on the server if it helps.
Are you still using Passolo 2011? FlexLM has not been used in Passolo 2016 / 2018 and we cannot confirm how it would work on AWS as we never tested it.
Safenet does work fine and for 2016 / 2018 we use Safenet License Server manager, see the KB:
