This might not be possible at all. Software strings are usually stored in special resource file formats that do not support any of these formatting (RESX, JSON, Properties, XML, etc.). The special formatting could be inserted in the editor window but then is converted back into plain text.

Please contact the project manager or the software manufacturer and clarify whether the software itself is supporting this formatting.

In Passolo, I am perfectly able to enter this formatting, as you can see in the screenshot below. Still it is not saved in this formatting (but it is saved as plain text).

As an "insider" to Passolo, can you please clarify whether the software itself supports this formatting.

Passolo has a fully Unicode compatible editing window and even you are able to insert these character it doesn’t mean that the source and target files are capable to store these formatting. 

Software resource files are mainly plain text files, therefore such formatting doesn’t make any sense and can’t be stored and dispalyed by the software, except that special Unicode characters exists.

So again, please contact the project manager or the software manufacturer and clarify whether the software itself is supporting this formatting.
