Windows Updates with SDL Studio GroupShare without issues?

Question

Hi there, 
 I have a question about updating our server where SDL Studio GroupShare is running on. Did anybody experienced issues when doing Windows updates on the server, including an automatic reboot? 
 Background/additional information: 
 Currently this server is not in auto patching mode for Microsoft Windows updates. This means, it's not up to date and a security issue. We want to change it's status to auto patching, e. g. every two weeks and reboot afterwards. This would safe time and help to have a proper patching level.

I was hoping someone else might have something useful to share with you, but as they haven't the only thing I can tell you is we are not aware of anything that has caused problems. 
 
I assume you have a staging environment and could test this out first? That would be the most sensible approach I think. But if not then perhaps you can submit a support ticket and advise them of your plans so if anything does cause a problem then the background is set to help resolve things as quickly as possible.

I am not aware of any problems that have arisen as a result of installing MS updates on a GroupShare server. As long as you don't upgrade the OS or SQL to a version that is not supported by SDL (you did not mention which server OS you use and which GS version), there should not be any problems.
