Parameters already in use by one website running on this machine

Hello everyone, groupshare throws and error on the website configuration page, saying that GroupShare is bound to port 80 and that I must alter the website parameters or stop and disable the clashing site.

I do not know to do this, can anyone of you help me to solve this?

And to comment the lines, what lines I have to comment in order to call the chef? and on what file and path?

Thanks beforehand.

  • Hello,

Port 80 is the standard HTTP port for Groupshare. The fact you get a conflict with another website in IIS means they are also setup to use port 80 as well. In this situation you must decide which software ends up using port 80 and change the other.
Information regards ports required can be found at: https://gateway.rws.com/csm?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB0026638

In regards with your second question, and lines to comment, please be more specific as to what location and where. Is this related to Chef configuration/deployment?

Lastly, the questions here pertain to installation/configuration or upgrades. In order to be able to assist you further and better understand the issues you are faced with I would recommend that you raise this with support.
As an added note, please note that self installations are not supported and they will need to be done in conjunction with professional services in order to be supported.

    Thank you, Sorin
