Error message when trying to open GroupShare files in Studio 2021

Hi,

I upgraded to Studio 2021 from 2017 yesterday (version Trados Studio 2021 SR1 - 16.1.8.4404) but when I try to open GroupShare projects I get the error message "Some files could not be downloaded and will not be opened. The 'UserId' property on 'LanguageFileVersionComplex' could not be set to a 'null' value. You must set this property to a non-null value of type 'Guid'."

Suggestions from one of the PMs at SDL Sweden include reinstalling, installing the Worldserver Compatibility Pack, repairing Studio, removing plugins, but so far nothing has worked. Does anyone have any suggestions on why this is happening and what I can do to fix it?

Many thanks!

Jen

  • Hi Jen,

Thank you for writing to the community. Please try to recreate the connection to GroupShare from Studio. In order to do so, please follow the below steps:

Files - Setup - Servers Delete the existing connection and create a new one by using the "Add" button.

As a side note, please make sure that you have set the relevant port with your integration (80 or 443)- depending on if you have SSL certificate or not.

Also, make sure you don't have multiple connections created for the same GroupShare instance.

    Best regards,
