MultiTerm Online no longer accessible

As of this morning and for an unknown reason, we can no longer access Multiterm Online (Groupshare installed on our server). Normally I would expect restarting Apache Tomcat to fix this, but today I get the error below. Any advice?Error message on Windows Services management console showing 'Windows could not start the Apache Tomcat 8.5 Tomcat8 on Local Computer' with a reference to service-specific error code 1.

(just in case the image is not visible, the error message reads: Windows could not start the Apache Tomcat 8.5 Tomcat8 on Local Computer. For more information review the System Event Log. If this is a non-Microsoft service, contact the service vendor, and refer to service-specific error code 1. For what it's worth, I have checked our Java version and it is up-to-date.)

  • Dear Antonios,
Thank you for raising this with our community.
Please check the records you see traced, on your VM hosting MultiTerm Online, in Event Viewer System and application. They might help understand what happened with the Tomcat service.

At the same, your local IT could check if there are any patterns (in case you are monitoring this, in your company) that might explain the Tomcat service issue.
    I hope this helps.
    Best regards,
    Darius
