Trados 2022 activated on new laptop, but not 2021

Dear RWS team,

I used to have Studio 2019/2021/2022 all installed on my previous laptop (I have a Freelance Plus license). This has proven to be useful as a backup solution — sometimes an issue with a specific package or project could be avoided using another version of the program.

Now, I just setup a brand new laptop, was able to transfer the license. Studio 2022 is all good, but I do not have Studio 2021 activated. This is important as not all add-ins I use are available for the 2022 version yet.

Trados Studio 2021 Product Activation window showing a trial version with 26 days remaining, with options to activate or purchase a license.

I checked your licences and can see that your 2022 does have the "Allow Studio 2021 - Add-on".  It may be that the trial message will disappear after the time is up and 2021 will simply run by virtue of 2022 being activated on the same machine... but I'm not 100% sure this is how it works.  So tagging  who knows more about the licensing than I do and may be able to confirm.  If necessary we'll engage the licensing team to help, but let's understand how this works first.

    In the meantime...

This is important as not all add-ins I use are available for the 2022 version yet.

Which apps are you looking for?  We are going through the process of adding all the apps that were there before so the new appstore is as useful as it was before, AND we are even updating some where the developer never provided 2022 versions in the first place... for example...

    RegexAutoSuggestprovider - https://appstore.rws.com/plugin/153

    Segment Searcher - https://appstore.rws.com/plugin/151

    Comment View Plugin - https://appstore.rws.com/plugin/152

Fortunately Capybara did opensource the code so we were able to do this.  We cannot do it for all apps., but it would still be useful to know what you are missing?
