Alignment of xml files - exclude

Hi everyone,

I am trying to do an alignment for an xml file and I am wondering if somebody has a solution for the following problem:

The xml contains some content defined as "ID" which is non-translatable. The actual translatable content is defined as "Typ", amongst others.

As you can see "Value" is also translatable content. There are other parts that are non-translatable but they don't worry me so much. In this case as you can see, the translatable and non-translatable are identical and would cause wrong/multiple matches in the TM.

I guess my questions is: Is there a way to exlude the ID-fields in the alignment? I was hoping to do it via file-type settings but the alignment process doesn't have that step. 

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

    Hi  

    I am VERY happy to say that if you have parser rules that will manage which content is seen as translatable vs not to be translatable then we absolutely can facilitate your alignment process.

    Because if you have a file type with the appropriate parser rules and you add them to File - Options - File Type as your default.
    Then do your alignment, the XML will be processed based on your (default) custom file type settings.

    I trust that makes sense and that you get the output you require
