Language Weaver Pro supported for Generative Translation
(Applies to Trados Team, Accelerate/Business and Enterprise)

We're excited to announce support for Language Weaver Pro as an AI engine for Generative Translation in Trados.

With this release, customers with a Language Weaver Pro subscription can add Language Weaver Pro as an LLM in the Connected AI section of Trados and configure it as the AI provider for Generative Translation within their translation engines.

Language Weaver Pro is a translation-specific AI solution designed to deliver high-quality translations for enterprise content. Benchmark testing has demonstrated strong performance against leading AI translation systems across multiple languages, domains and content types.

By combining Language Weaver Pro with Trados Generative Translation, customers can leverage advanced AI translation enhanced by their existing linguistic assets, including translation memories, terminology and custom instructions, to deliver more consistent and context-aware translations.

Key benefits include:

  • Use Language Weaver Pro within Trados for Generative Translation workflows.
  • Simple configuration and management through the Connected AI settings.
  • Enhance AI-generated translations with existing linguistic assets and project-specific instructions.

More details on Language Weaver Pro can be found here. Please contact your regular RWS account representative if you would like more information on purchasing Language Weaver Pro alongside your Trados subscription.

Improved visibility of Customer Review assignments in the Customer Portal
(Applies to Trados Team, Accelerate/Business and Enterprise)

Customer Portal users now have greater visibility into Customer Review assignments throughout the project lifecycle.

Previously, reviewer information was only visible once a project had reached the Customer Review task in the workflow. With this update, customer requesters can view assigned reviewers earlier, helping them understand who is responsible for review activities before the review begins.

Reviewer information is available in:

  • Project Details - view assigned reviewers and review deadlines
  • Project side panel - view consolidated review information across all files in a project.

For projects with multiple Customer Review tasks, all relevant reviewer information is displayed, providing greater transparency into review ownership and progress.

ISO 5060 TQA Templates now available
(Applies to Trados Accelerate/Business and Enterprise)

We're adding two new system TQA templates based on the ISO 5060 standard: Non-Uniform Scorecard and Reduced Scorecard.

ISO 5060 provides an international framework for translation quality evaluation. The Non-Uniform Scorecard supports detailed, analytical evaluation across the standard's error categories and severity levels, while the Reduced Scorecard provides a lighter-weight approach for high-volume or lower-risk content.

Both templates are pre-configured and ready to use, helping teams standardize quality evaluation, reduce manual setup, and align with recognized industry practices.

MQM critical error default weighting updated
(Applies to Trados Accelerate/Business and Enterprise)

We're updating the default weighting for MQM Critical errors from 100 to 25 to align with industry-standard scoring practices.

New accounts will automatically use the updated default value. For existing accounts, the new weighting will only be applied where the MQM system template has not been customized. Any customized templates will remain unchanged.

Tasks already in progress using an MQM template will not be affected by this update.

AI Terminology Extraction leaving Public Preview
(Applies to Trados Team, Accelerate/Business and Enterprise)

AI Terminology Extraction, introduced as a Public Preview in November 2025, will exit Public Preview in September 2026.

Customers who have used the feature during the preview period will retain any terminology assets created from previous extractions. However, customers without entitlement to AI Terminology Extraction will no longer be able to view the details of completed extractions.

Once the feature becomes generally available, only customers whose subscription plan includes AI Terminology Extraction will be able to perform new extractions. Customers without entitlement will continue to have access to terminology assets created during the preview period but will no longer be able to run new AI-powered terminology extractions.

Further information on subscription eligibility will be shared closer to the transition date.

Additional changes

  • Starting with this release, we are enforcing the documented limit for number of language processing rules allowed per customer tenant. More details can be found in the documentation here.

  • Various bug fixes and UX enhancements have been applied to improve overall stability and user experience.

We hope this post was informative, and we look forward to continuing to provide you with updates to the product.
