How to: Install and License SDL Trados Business Manager Lite

Description-

The SDL Trados Business Manager Lite version (a mini TMS right inside Studio) allows you to create invoices using 2 predefined Invoice and 1 predefined Quote templates taking the data directly from your projects, without the need for manually creating invoices and quotes.

This version is ideal for Freelance translators who are looking for a simple, quick and effective way of creating invoices, but do not want to create their own

Unlicensed (trial) versions may create up-to 15 invoices only- after which time the application must be licensed to continue. Invoices cannot be edited/removed in trial mode.

Install-

Once you have downloaded the plugin, simply double click to start the SDL Trados Business Manager Installation Wizard

You will see at this stage which version you are installing (SDL Trados Business Manager Lite)

Please read the License Agreement before agreeing with the terms and conditions and then clicking Next>

Now select SDL Studio 2019 and in Locations- All your domain machines

Please note: this application does not support Studio 2017 or earlier versions.

If you already have Studio running, you will be prompted to close the application before continuing.

Once you restart Studio- you will see the SDL Trados Business Manager Application

To activate your SDL Trados Business Manager lite - Click Activation - Paste your activation code and Click Activate

The SDL Trados Business Manager application is now installed and activated.

Please be aware-

if you have installed an incorrect SDL Trados Business Manager version and/or have an incorrect activation code, you will see the following message

Quick Overiew when setting up the application (working from right to left).

1) Add/Edit applicable invoicable VAT/local Taxes rates

2) Add/Edit chargeable Units

3) Add/Edit Specializations and catergories

4) Add/Edit Currencies you work in

5) Add/Edit Fuzzy types/match and values

6) Add/Edit Customer database to ensure correct invoicing and tracking
