Error while saving an entity TBM Essential

I've tried to add a task to a job or create invoice but this error message prevents me to do so.

Error while saving an entity. See the description below.
Executing Sql 'insert into [TranslationJobDetail]([Id],[TranslationProject],[WorkingType],[FuzzyType],[Unit],[Rate],[DiscountMarkup],[DiscountNotes],[RateWithDiscountMarkup],[Quantity],[QuantityWeighted],[Amount],[Sort],[Notes],[FileName],[LanguageCloudProjectTaskId],[EditTime],[OptimisticLockField])values(@p0,@p1,@p2,@p3,@p4,@p5,@p6,@p7,@p8,@p9,@p10,@p11,@p12,@p13,@p14,@p15,@p16,@p17)' with parameters '{xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx},{xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx},{xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx},{},{xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx},{30},{0},{},{30},{1},{1},{30},{2},{},{},{},{0},{2}' exception 'Microsoft.Data.Sqlite.SqliteException (0x80004005): SQLite Error 14: 'unable to open database file'. at Microsoft.Data.Sqlite.SqliteException.ThrowExceptionForRC(Int32 rc, sqlite3 db) at Microsoft.Data.Sqlite.SqliteDataReader.NextResult() at Microsoft.Data.Sqlite.SqliteCommand.ExecuteReader(CommandBehavior behavior) at Microsoft.Data.Sqlite.SqliteCommand.ExecuteNonQuery() at DevExpress.Xpo.DB.ConnectionProviderSql.<>c__DisplayClass130_0.b__0() at DevExpress.Xpo.Logger.LogManager.Log[T](String category, LogHandler`1 handler, MessageHandler`1 createMessageHandler) at DevExpress.Xpo.DB.ConnectionProviderSql.InternalExecSql(IDbCommand command) at DevExpress.Xpo.DB.ConnectionProviderSql.ExecSql(Query query)'

I'm not sure if I have to open support ticket or is there an easy fix?

  • Hi Mico,

Message says 'Unable to open database'. So, for some reason application lost connection to database file. For me personally, such error never occurred, regardless of endless hours testing this application. But I saw similar reprot from at least one more user. Can't even suggest why/when it appears. Maybe you moved database to some external location? Or that location is synced with Cloud drive? Or maybe laptop went to sleep, then woke uop and you clicked Save button in TBM? There could be a lot of suggestions.. In your case, it happens all time, frequently, rarely?

  • Hello Eugene,

Thank you for your prompt response. Upon further investigation, I discovered that my laptop had a corrupted user account which I had not noticed earlier. As a result, I had to reinstall Windows and all programs..

Following the reinstallation, I proceeded to install Essential and attempted to connect it with the database that I had saved earlier.

I°ve noticed that the database has to be saved in the default folder, the shared folder (Snology Drive) was not accepted.

Nevertheless TBM Essential is now working with database in the standard location..

    Thank you for your assistance.

    Best regards

    Mico
