Trados Business Manager – End of Life Announcement

Trados Business Manager (TBM) has reached end of life. Following the discontinuation of TBM sales on 31 October 2023, all maintenance and support services will conclude on 31 October 2024.
What Does This Mean for TBM Users?

  • End of Services: RWS will no longer provide any services related to the installation or updating of TBM.
  • Existing Installations: TBM will remain functional where already installed, but the RWS support team will not offer assistance in troubleshooting issues, addressing reported problems, or providing further development for TBM.
  • Documentation: The TBM documentation has been removed from docs.rws.com.
  • Community Support: The community forum for TBM will remain accessible in a read-only format for users to reference if needed.

SDL Studio 2019 SR2 problem with baccs 2.5

Hi, I got this message when I tried to open SDL STUDIO 2019 immediately after installing SR2:

Method 'set_Id' in type 'BaccS_Plug_in.Other.BaccsNotification' from assembly 'BaccS_Plugin, Version

I followed the instructions and uninstalled the baccs plug in from the Plug in management, but my version was the free baccs plugin (version 2.5 and not the Lite 3.0). Now SDL Studio works but I no longer have access to baccs. Surely there's a workaround to continue using baccs with the latest upgrade of Studio?????

I couldn't find an updated version of Baccs on the appstore, only the Lite 3.0 version which I would have to pay for... is this right? Will I gain access to all my information on my previous free plugin version or is it all lost?

I hope someone can help with this issue.

    Hi

    I'm afraid the old BaccS plugin is no longer supported.  We have enhanced the plugin a lot to make it a suitable replacement for BaccS Desktop for people truly working as a freelance translator and not an agency.  The result of this effort is that it is now a paid application and the old free plugin is no longer available or supported.  There will also be an updated version of this next month with even more features.

    If you'd like to try this I can make a copy available to you to test?
