Switching from the free plug-in to BaccS Lite

I'm using the free plug-in of BaccS for a while (only to create quotes until now). Today, I bought the Lite version.

After experiencing some issues with the Internal Server (I was unable to see my license keys in the SDL Accounts) I could now activate the software... but I still can't create quotes: As usual, I go to the project list, select one project (with fuzzy matches), clic on "create a new quote", select the customer and clic OK. While whith the free plug-in everything went well, I now don't haba any words counted here and the amout stays 0,00. If I clic on "Add SDL Trados project(s)" nothing happens.

It looks like there is a problem with the plug-in. I try to desactivate it and reactivate, but this didn't help. What can I do?

Thank you!

PS: I'm using SDL Trados Studio 2019 SR1 - 15.1.3.55768

  • Hello, Eliane,

Of course, deactivation and activation won't help. I just played with version you have, and quotes are created correctly. So, few suggestions what to check:

    • Fuzzy schemes > Open fuzzy scheme and check that it contains fuzzy types and factors
    • Fuzzy types > check that Match type is filled, max and min values for fuzzies are correct
    • Options > Settings > Default fuzzy scheme not empty (also check default unit and default service type)
    • Check that a project you're creating a quote from has correct generated analysis file (sure it has, but just in case).

If nothing of above helps, we'll continue to search Slight smile But it must work.

  • Hello Eugene,

Yes, it must work ;-) but it still doesn't and I dont know why... I checked everything you said. All options are OK. I set it up in the free plug-in and all this was kept after installing the Lite version.

In the mean time, I downloaded the SR2 release of SDL Studio and hoped this would help. It didn't neither. Sould I first go back to the free plug-in and try if this works like it usually did? If yes, what is the best way to do so?

    Thanks!
