Release overview

Language Weaver Edge 8.7.2.0 is a minor feature release, introducing multiple enhancements and fixes on top of Language Weaver Edge 8.7.1.0. The HFA can be deployed on top of any Language Weaver Edge 8.x previous installation as an upgrade.

Required for this update

Language Weaver Edge 8.7.2.0 requires a minimum NVIDIA GPU driver version of Linux x64: 575.51.03 for any LWE engine that uses a GPU. Before or alongside upgrading LWE, upgrade your NVIDIA GPU drivers to version 575.51.03 or later. Engines using GPUs will fail to start on older drivers, and a related error message will appear in the engine logs.

If you see GPU engine start failures after upgrading LWE, check your driver version first - this is the most likely cause. After upgrading, a system reboot is often required before the new driver takes effect.

A new license is only required if you are upgrading from a previous major or minor release.

Since this is a minor release, licenses generated for Language Weaver Edge 8.7.x previous releases are still valid for this version.
