What is the best (quicker) way to export xyvision to word file say using a script?

I know we can save it as pdf and convert it to word which is far from perfect. Appreciate if anyone can show me a better in doing so. Thanks. Kwan

Chris is right. The XMLExport feature is what you need to do. The utility used for this is called divxml. There is a complete manual called XML Export that is part of the XPP doc you received with the system. You will see that it exports things in a way that is close to how word is storing things. You will need xslt to transform things from the xpp to the word format. And you will need some extra xpp tool that will run the divxml, runs the xslt, creates a correct Word structure and then zips things up into a docx file. In theory you can create a Word file that looks very close to your printer page but maybe that is not what you want. That might be something you need to think about before you start with this: - what will the word file be used for? - does it need to look close to the printer page or not? - is it preferably to use Word styles or is inline styling what you want? Oh one last word of advise: the divxml utility has evolved a bit over time and lot of little things have been added to the utility. So before you start it could be important to get hold of the latest and greatest patchset (or even revision) of XPP.
