This functionality is planned for future releases as part of a single-component editor.

XML preview in Organize Space

I would love to be able to see the XML view in the Organize Space Preview as well.

Often, I would like to look up the structure or attributes used in a topic or map, and I find Organize Space quicker to use than Browse repository. If I am really short on time and don't want to find a publication I can open with this topic, I will download it just to have a look. 

Especially as super user, a XML view in Organize Space can speed up the problem solving.

We are using 15.2.1.

    I’d like to provide some context that may be relevant to this community idea.

    With the release of Tridion Docs 15.3, we introduced the Publication Editor, our new browser-based editing experience. It builds on Draft Space and brings key capabilities, such as editing, baselines, reuse, and conditions, together in one place. The goal is to support the most common use cases for our customers with a simpler and more streamlined experience.

    The Publication Editor is also an important step toward bringing our browser-based applications in line with the capabilities available in the legacy Windows-based tools.

    Looking ahead, the release after 15.3 will introduce a single-component editor. This will allow users to edit both topics and maps directly in Organize Space, making the authoring process even more efficient.
    The single-component editor is going to have the same panels as Draft Space has, including XML Source code.

    As an option for 15.2.1, you can use an Organize Space property panel extension point.
