Where used report on key definitions (keydef)

As DITA promotes reuse through keydef and keyref elements. Tridion Docs supports the same and lists down them as references under the map object. However it doesn't list down where the key definitions are used.

It is better to improve the Where used report to allow references of the keydef as well to make it more robust.

Note: I understand keydef are not objects in Tridion Docs, however by assigning an element ID it can be achieved.

  • Now with the "Where used" function in Tridion Docs, I would like to see a possibility to do a report on a topic, map, or library. Sometimes you need do an update that affects many publications. Then a report in Excel is super helpful to be able to tick off all publications (one by one) as you update it with the certain topic, library or map, and you then know which publications need to be republished after the update.
