It appears that in 2021 the Project Name size limit in Trados was increased from a hard limit of 50 characters to 100 characters. (https://community.rws.com/product-groups/trados-portfolio/cloud-offerings/f/cloud-offerings/33974/project-name-limited-to-50-characters-in-live-team)
However, it doesn't appear that jobs that originate in Tridion Docs and passed to Trados via API integration make use of that expanded limit. The jobs are still capped at 50 character names. Further compounding this limit is that the user name that submits the translation job is placed within this 50 character value, and truncates the job name further depending on how long that user name is.
This Idea requests that the total job name length passed from Tridion Docs to Trados be expanded to 100 characters given that limit is supported.
The "Bonus Points" solution would be the ability to configure the naming conventions to allow an implementation to define what fields are combined within that limit. (For example, one implementation way wish to use only job name from Tridion Docs, while another may wish to combine multiple metadata fields to create the job name from controlled values within the overall limit.)
