The Language LOV requires the Name field to be the language code in order to support integration with Trados or other systems.  It also uses the Name in dropdowns, in result lists or content views in Organize space, etc.

However, most users don't know all the language codes.  It would be preferable to see a descriptive language name in these locations, which could come from the LOV Description field.  A toggle at a general application level to use the Description value instead of the name value in language selection dropdowns and in places where the language displays in a column within Organize space would allow users unfamiliar with the codes to better know what languages are configured.
