Make Verify more tolerant of errors

Verify should be more tolerant of errors, or at least provide meaningful error information, such as segment number.

In a large document, such a general error message is very difficult to find.Error dialog box in Trados Studio with a red 'X' icon, displaying the message 'Failed to verify document: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.' with 'Knowledge Base' and 'Community' links and an 'OK' button.

  • Hi  - yes, this is always bad when it happens. When you expand the details or save the error stack details, it should give us more info to advise if it's in the core product or perhaps an app. Could you try and save the stack trace, then attach it here? In any event, this is probably more of a bug we need to fix rather than an idea, but we'll see down the line. Thanks, Daniel
