Feature Request: Clickable URLs in Termbase Viewer

Hello Development Team,

I would like to request that URLs entered in the Termbase Viewer be recognized as clickable links.

Currently, URLs are displayed as plain text and cannot be opened directly, requiring manual copy and paste into a browser.

Enabling clickable links would make it easier to access reference materials.

Thank you for your consideration.

  • The Option with a Plain Text could be very useful.

  • I actually believe it would be beneficial to combine the Termbase Viewer with the Term Recognition and the Term Search windows. You could have the recognised terms displayed as currently in the Termbase Viewer, but in a reduced form (i.e. only source and target terms and maybe one or two other fields that the user can select to see at once). The terms should be expandable, so if the user wants to see all the information to a term they can just click a little arrow next to it and expand the information. Below, there should be buttons that allow the user to switch between term recognition and term search, but the display and functionalities of both should essentially be the same.

  • Yep, totally agree with you, that would be perfect! However, in the meantime, refer to this video to see how it's done: https://youtu.be/FnHNRulDArQ?si=SAJjJo1pIdSK5KLV (at minute 1:00 approx.)

I understand your concern about long URLs.
However, in the current UI, URLs in the Term Recognition window are truncated rather than wrapped, so I believe long URLs don’t significantly affect the layout.

That said, it would be nice if we had an option to display clickable URLs as shortened text or icons for a cleaner layout.Slight smile

I was referring to the Termbase Viewer (the detailed window that opens when you click “View term details” in the Term Recognition window), rather than the Term Recognition window itself.

That said, I agree it would also be useful to have clickable links in the Term Recognition window.

I wasn’t aware that URLs can already be made clickable in MultiTerm. However, I believe it would be more convenient if URLs were clickable by default.Slight smile
