Enable Project TM generation when using Cloud based resources

When using Cloud based resource to prep files, none of the trados versions can generate and populate project translation memeory. 

For the preps that can not be done in TE, this missing feature stops us there. It can allows us pretranslate the files but not having the project TM to use.

It is very important to have the project TM as when translating, by loading the project TM, linguist is able to see the difference between the current source and the match in TM.

  • Background：
    While supporting our client in translating highly confidential documents, we are unable to load the documents into Trados Editor (TE) for analysis and must use Trados Studio to prepare the files. Although cloud-based resources are enabled for us, none of the Trados versions can generate or populate a project translation memory (TM) when using cloud-based resources to prepare files.

    Current Impact：

    • For preparation tasks that cannot be done in TE, this missing feature halts the entire process.

    • While the system allows pre-translation of files, there is no project TM available to use afterward.

    • Without a project TM, linguists cannot load it to compare differences between the current source text and the matches stored in the TM, which is critical for high-quality translation.

    • As a workaround, we need to export TM from TE on a regular basis for use in Studio, which creates additional operational burden and efficiency loss.

    The current functionality is not yet complete. Adding this feature would give users more options and enrich the solution for handling high-confidentiality requests for our clients. Please enable all versions of Trados to generate and populate a project translation memory when using cloud-based resources for file preparation, especially for prep tasks that cannot be done in TE. This will allow linguists to load the project TM during translation and clearly see the differences between the current source text and the matches in the TM.
