The ALT+ F2 shortcut allows for the editing of the source text in the Online Editor; however, it does not support the modification of the formatting, such as bold, italics and underline. The formatting section is grey out when editing the source text. It would be greatly useful to allow the modification of the formatting of the source text. 

As an example, when talking about legislation and regulations, we have to italicize the name of any law that we talk about, but sometimes, clients do forget to do so, and it would help us to be able to correct the source text so that if we need to switch the source and target languages, the appropriate formatting will be used in the future.
