Delete file(s) from project

Question

Dear community, 
 To synchronize Studio projects with our workflow system, we would like to be able to add and remove files from a studio project. 
 Deleting files is possible via the UI, however, is the same method exposed via the API as well?

I have this noted and I'm about to send to the dev team a longer list with things to add/change in the API. Unfortunately I will not be able to say when this will happen.
