SDLXLIFF Split/Merge source code

Hi,

As seen in many other questions and posts, the splitting and merging sdlxliff's is also a critical feature for us to be able to divide a large document over multiple translators. I have noticed this tool no longer works since 2015 SR3 and will likely also not work fo 2017.

Are there any plans to upgrade the app or provide built-in support for this? If not, would it be possible to publish the source code to the Sdl-Community GitHub repo? I am wondering how much effort it would take to get the app working again.

    Hi ,

    I don't believe it's an API change that's causing the problem because the application doesn't only use the API. But I will ask the question to see whether or not the development team is happy to release the source code. I'd be quite happy to do this because I don't want to spend time fixing this old tool and would rather provide a better solution. So if somebody is happy to take the source code and fix it for Studio 2017 then I don't have a problem with that at all... in fact I'd positively encourage it!
