Is it possible to send a multiterm termbase through the API?

Hello!

I'm a slightly technical product manager looking for some direction.

My client uses MultiTerm and is manually exporting termbases (as .xml files I believe) and uploading them into our system.

They would like to do this through automatically, and I believe it's a one-way transfer.

We have an API endpoint to accept a termbase file, but this would require us to build a desktop plugin, since we can't use GroupShareKit to export termbases

Screenshot of a forum post by Luis Lopes stating that ExportImportDefining Filters is not available through the REST API and suggests using the Desktop API.

While looking for the "Desktop API" all I see is the SDK here, so I'm guessing there's no online version of the API docs?

If we have to build a plugin, it's not going to be worth it. Is there some other method to get a Termbase out of multiterm through another Trados/RWS service and GET or POST or PUT it into our system?

Thanks in advance!

  • I moved your question into the developer forums as this is a more appropriate location for your question.

Can you clarify a couple of things to make it more likely you'll get some help.  You mention GroupShareKit but you keep mentioning MultiTerm.  Can you confirm your client is using MultiTerm Server as part of GroupShare and not MultiTerm desktop?

If we have to build a plugin, it's not going to be worth it

Why not if your client is trying to automate a process they apparently do often?
