Cannot edit my Idea

Question

When I click "Edit" to edit my idea, I get the following message:

Hi Jesse, 
 
That's right, after you submit your idea, you can't edit it anymore. 
After submitting your idea, it's forwarded to our system a status is added. 
 
If everyone would be able to edit their ideas, they would also be able to edit the status of their ideas. 
We do not enable this option for now. 
 
I agree that if you misspelled something, you would like to be able to edit. 
Might that we change that setting on the short term.
