Getting started with the APIs

I have installed Visual studio Community 2015 and the SDL SDK. But when I start VS I can see no SDL templates. Is there a very basic guide to getting it all set up.

Can you please let me know if you first installed Visual Studio or the SDL SDK? Also what operating system are you using? In theory this should just work as we tested the SDK with the Community Edition. You can also download already created empty projects from here.

I first installed the SDK and later the VS Community Edition on both computers.
I'm running a 64 bit W7 Pro on a workstation and W10 on my 64 bit laptop.
Thanks for the link to the empty projects. I will look at them over the weekend.

I also have Visual Studio 2010 Professional installed on these machines and there are no SDL templates showing up at all. The laptop with the VS 2010 with the templates is my old laptop which I don't use any more.
