In the Tridion Sites Community we're all about helping one another out. Tridion is a powerful platform, but it takes time to get the most out of it. If you're new to Tridion, here are some resources that will help you get started on the product.

First, you can take a look at some of the videos that we have on our www site. The Tridion Sites Product Documentation is quite handy for understanding all of the different aspects of the product. The Tridion Sites Cloud Documentation is also very useful for developers looking to understand the application lifecycle for their Delivery Applications in a cloud context. For developers, our API Documentation can also be very useful for understanding how you can extend the product. We also have courses at the RWS University for online learning or our Professional Services can also provide on-site training for you.

If you're a bit stuck feel free to ask a question on the Tridion Community Forums on StackExchange.

Or if you're really stuck we have an expert Support Team that's there to help you.

The Tridion MVP Award program is a program developed to thank and recognize all the great professionals that freely share their knowledge, real world experience and objective feedback to help others implement and enhance our technology. An MVP award is given to those who offer exceptional contributions to the Tridion community. You can nominate candidates at any time during the entire year.

Becoming an MVP

You can become a most valued professional (MVP) by sharing your passion, knowledge and know-how with exceptional contributions to the Tridion community, be it through Tridion social network sites, by posting community eXtensions or through your personal weblogs. Your contributions will be seen by all members of the community and by the MVP Selection panel. The award winner will receive an award, can use the 'Tridion MVP'-logo in professional communication and will have free entrance to Tridion hosted events.

Nominate an MVP

To nominate an individual to the MVP Award, send an email to sdl.tridion.mvp@sdl.com with the following information:

Nominee's name
Nominee's email address
Nominee's country (where nominee lives/works)
Specific examples of why this nominee should be rewarded, including relevant links to places where this nominee has shown his full potential, such as
- Personal websites
- Community eXtensions
- Forum threads
- Tridion Ideas website
- Social network sites

Successful candidates will be contacted by a member of the MVP Selection Panel.

Selecting an MVP

To receive the MVP award, nominees go through a review process by the MVP Selection panel. This panel will evaluate each nominee's voluntary contribution to the community over the past 12 months, the quality of their feedback and knowledge, and level of impact. Active MVPs will be re-evaluated every year, and the MVP title is only valid for one year each time. Active MVPs do not have to re-nominate, but are asked to continue their sharing activities.

MVP Selection Panel

This panel includes members of Tridion Professional Services and Product Management, as well as members of the community - in all purposes independent from Tridion. This panel's independence is crucial, as many MVP nominees do work directly or indirectly for RWS, and we would be excluding many valuable professionals from possible selection if the Panel was constituted by employees alone.

And here they are! As is by now a tradition, we are proud to announce the new Tridion MVPs for 2017.

This year we had quite a challenging time sorting through a list of very strong candidates for this very exclusive award. Keeping the right balance for an award like the Tridion MVP is one of my priorities - as it should remain a _exclusive_ award given to people we identify as leaders in the community.

Every year I have the privilege to announce the Web MVPs for the year - and every year, with no exception, I am late doing it

This year the selection panel had a tough time choosing between the high-quality list of nominations we received, and after some tough discussions finalized the list.

The Extensions and Connectors Community for experts gives you a stage to share your building blocks. Other Tridion powerusers will benefit from the contributions to the community and it will make their Web sites even more interesting.
