SDLTM - Is there any way to show the actual tags, not tag ids

These tags are placeholders so if you translated this and stored it in your TM: Working with tags in Trados. Then if you subsequently got this: Working with tags in Trados. or this: Working with tags in Trados. You would get 100% matches for them all, even though you didn't specifically have the italic and underline tags in the file. The translation would be pre-populated with the italic and underline tags in the SDLXLIFF even though the TM entry was created with a bold tag. So this is a feature.... the TM doesn't need to know!

 I apologize for the confusion. Let's try another method to display the actual tags in Trados Studio: 
 Step 1: Open Trados Studio. 
 Step 2: Select 'File' > 'Options'. This will open the Options dialog box. 
 Step 3: From the navigation tree, select 'Editor'. The Editor settings will be displayed on the right. 
 Step 4: Look for the 'Formatting display style' drop-down list under 'Side-by-side Editor'. 
 Step 5: If you want to display tags, select 'Show all formatting and tags'. If you want to remove tags, select 'Show formatting but hide recognized formatting tags'. 
 Step 6: Click 'OK' to save the settings and close the Options dialog box. 
 Alternatively, you can change the tag display mode in the Editor window in the Editor view: 
 Step 1: Go to 'View' tab > 'Options' group and select a 'Tag Display Mode'. 
 Step 2: Select one of the following: 'No Tag Text' to display tags without any text on them. 'Partial Tag Text' to display tags with partial text on them. Place the cursor over a tag to display the full tag content in a tooltip. 'Full Tag Text' to display tag text in full. 'Tag ID' to display the tag ID rather than tag text.

 Oh, sorry, I should have known that from your first screnshot. 
 Those are the only available options in the Translation Memory view, and this is why: Whatever a tag meant during translation (bold, underline, green colour, 16 size, etc.), that metada is lost when saved into the TM. Tags are just tags in the TM and it makes sense it&rsquo;s like this.
