About

The MT Cloud Codes feature expose all the MT Codes available for Studio languages through MT Cloud provider. The window is accessible thorough SDL Machine Translation Cloud plugin and It is strucuted based on the MTCode (main) and MTCode (locale).

How to use

Install the SDL Machine Translation Cloud plugin
Go to Add-Ins tab
Click on MT Cloud Codes button

The MT Codes window will be displayed

What user can do through MT Cloud Codes window

1. User can add / update / remove the MTCode (main) / MTCode(locale).

After pressing on Enter or switch to a different row, the MTCode will be saved and a confirmation message will be displayed:

2. All the operations performed inside the grid are saved locally, and can be found at the following location: C:\Users\{UserName}\AppData\Roaming\SDL Community\SDLMachineTranslationCloud\MTLanguageCodes.xlsx

3. !Attention: User can delete the MTLanguageCodes.xlsx and all the chanegs from the file until that time will be lost. The file will be recreated once the user will open again the MT Cloud Codes window and it will NOT contain the changes made on MTCode (main) /MTCode (locale).

4. User can searches for specific codes using Lanuage/Region/Trados Code or even MTCode (main)/Mt Code(locale) -> see more details under "Search" section

5. User can print either the searched codes, either entire MTCodes avaible inside the grid. -> see more details under "Print" section

6. User can sort the values ascending/descending by clicking on the specific column name.

User can search for specific codes using the Language/Region/Trados Code/MTCode (main) or MTCode(locale) values.

User can print the following information by clicking on the print icon, near search area:

1. The searched items (the print dialog is opened and user needs to select the printer machine which will be used to print the information).

The searched items which will be printed will be exported to a local excel file, that can be found at the following location: C:\Users\{UserName}\AppData\Roaming\SDL Community\SDLMachineTranslationCloud\FilteredMTLanguageCodes.xlsx. The file will be recreated with the new searched items each time the user will press on the "Print" icon.

2. All the available items (the print dialog is opened and user needs to select the printer machine which will be used to print the information)

Important

1. When the MT Cloud Codes window is opened and used, the user should not perform operations on the local Excel files (which should be closed).

2. The column names inside the C:\Users\{fcaputa}\AppData\Roaming\SDL Community\SDLMachineTranslationCloud\MTLanguageCodes.xlsx excel file should not be renamed.

3. When a new version of the SDL Machine Translation Cloud plugin is released and the app contains updates inside the MT Codes, then the user should remove the file "MTLanguageCodes.xlsx" from the location C:\Users\{UserName}\AppData\Roaming\SDL Community\SDLMachineTranslationCloud. The file will be recreated and it will contains all the new MT Codes (main) / MT Codes (locale) updates.
