This delivers enhancements, bug fixes and new features requested by customers to provide efficiency when managing large volumes of articles.

Release Notes

Version 1.33

Supports SDL Managed Translation, SDL TMS and SDL Trados Enterprise\Live Team only.

Enhancements to Project Automation:
1. Reduced to 100 files in each project and 500 files for each cycle
2. Appended Serial number for project names – starts at 0001 up to 9999, then restarts at 0001.
3. Auto-create invoke scheduled job runs every 3 hours by default.
4. Optimized the queue creation in SFDC to support one-queue to multiple languages. Users can create a single queue in salesforce, submit multiple source language articles to the queue, and project creation will work based on the source language.

Bug Fixes:
1. Resolved isRunning issues if SDL servers are offline. When failure occurs in the batch apex, isRunning field will update and continue to pick up files in the next scheduled job.
2. Fixed issue in Language Cloud setup where projects in status=6 and above were hidden.

New Features:
1. Article number included in the manual create a project page where users select articles.
2. SDL Admin Dashboard to track status of queues, jobs and error projects

Release Notes

Version 1.29

Supports SDL Managed Translation, SDL TMS and SDL Language Cloud only.

Callouts
Reduced the callouts when uploading articles.
Previously the app gets an auth token for every uploaded article, this is now reduced to one auth token per 40 articles or based on the configured batch size.

Retry Methods
We have implemented a Retry method to resolve an issue if there is an upload failure from Salesforce to SDL.
If the article upload fails more than 3 times, the app deletes the draft article and sends an mail to the configured Additional Email list, requesting the user to resubmit the failed articles.

Version 1.28

Article Batch Creation in Salesforce
Salesforce has a limit of 100 callouts in any one job, which was affected automated project creation with a batch or more than 50 articles. The app has been updated to change the batch size to 40. The app will still create single projects with up to 200 articles in any one submission.

Project Status Batch Log
The projectstatusupdatebatch document has a Salesforce size limit. Errors were seen displaying “Regex too complicated” meaning this file size was reached, and the download/publish process would fail.
The app has been updated so that each time the scheduled job runs, the document is deleted, and a new document created, containing all errors previously entered, plus any new errors. The new document has a date/timestamp in the filename.

Salesforce Article Number
The Article Number is now displayed in the project related information tab.

Salesforce Article links
The Article Name links are now correctly linked to the lightning and classic views of the translated article. Expanding the related table shows both links.

Article Number in Error logs
The Article Number is now added to the Error log displayed in the Salesforce project as well as the error log document and email notification.

SDL Worldserver version - enhanced logging
The log files for SDL WorldServer version have been imporved with more descriptive error logging

Bug Fixes

Version 1.25

Bug Fix

We are now handling the "File" type field in the SDL app. Previously if the "File" Type field in the Article Type was empty, this was not supported in Salesforce when downloading translated articles. We handled this in the code to support an empty "File" type field in the translated article. If Customers are using the "File" Type field in Article Type then we recommend to update the app to the latest version.

Version 1.24

Feature Update

Previous versions of the integration use two scheduled jobs in Salesforce to manage the project status synchronisation and translated article download. In some custoemr instances, these scheduled jobs would stop running after a period of time for unknown reasons.

Version 1.2.4 adds two new jobs that check the status of the scheduled jobs periodically, and if it finds them not to be running, with automatically re-start them.

Bug Fixes

Auxiliary Status inSalesforce: the status was not relecting the actual status in SDL TMS, and has been resolved.

Project Name Limit: Previous versions had a limit of 30 characters in the project name when creating a translation project. When this limit was reached, for languages using culture codes, projects were erroring on the SDL side. The limit has been reduced to 27 characters to protect against this.

Version 1.22

Bug Fixes
A previous bug fix in v1.20 to resolve the issue when a user sent an updated article with fields removed had been found to be incomplete in a customers instance. This has now been resolved.

When upgrading the app from older versions (1.14 to 1.20) the app was causing a timeout when accessing the Knowledge Artcicle configuration page. This did not occur when installing the app as new. The timeout issue has been resolved in v1.22.

Version 1.20

Enhancement to restrict users from sending updated artcles.
The previous SDL app notifies Salesforce users if they try to update an existing article when it is already in a translation workflow. The user can override this in Salesforce and continue with the update and submit this new version to translation. In some Salesforce organisations this can cause a conflict when both translated versions are returned, with Salesforce creating an exception to importing a new translated versions. The SDL app will now provide configuration options to enforce this restriction, so that users are not able to submit new versions of an article to translation, until the previous version has been returned and published. In addition, any versions in progress will be highlighted in red in the translation matrix upon job creation.

Enhancement for user experience.
The SDL app includes an additional All Projects screen, providing a kanban or table view, optimised for managing large volumes of projects. This new table view includes additional filtering for users, article IDs etc. In addition a user can click the project name to be taken to that article, where in turn they can click to view the source and target article content.

Bug Fixes
When a user sent an updated article with fields removed, the app was retaining the original content of those removed fields upon import. The import was ignoring NULL fields and retaining the previous content. This has been fixed so that NULL fields are now retained and override original content.

Version 1.18.0

Update to support the new Lightning version of Salesforce.
With Winter ’18 release, Salesforce has introduced lightning knowledge for Multi language orgs. The existing version of Salesforce Knowledge Article requires Article Type. Enabling Lightning Knowledge changes the org’s data model to use record types rather than ArticleTypes. The SDL app will be updated to support this new data model, with a config option to choose which version and data model matches their Salesforce deployment.

Bug Fixes

In some customer instances, there were issues loading the All Projects page in the SDL WorldServer version of the app. The API calls have been changed to reduce the volume of data being called to allow this page to function correctly.

Version 1.16.0

Enhancement for user experience - automated project creation
The app was updated to support the use case where article authors did not want to create translation projects. The app requires a custom visualforce page to be created with a list of all source articles and a publish button. On executing the publish button, an automatic translation workflow is triggered based on pre-defined options setup at configuration, sending the article to translation through the app.

Version 1.15.0

Update to support to SDL Worldserver
This released added the integration to SDL Worldserver. Users of the app can now configure their SDL Managed Translation for Salesforce app to connect to both SDL Managed Translation (SDL TMS) and SDL Worldserver. Functionality in the All Projects screen is different, providing a simplified table view of projects, their status and links to view scope and approve.

Version 1.14.0

Enhancements and bug fixing
This version focused on bug fixes and stability updates following the original release of the app in 2016.
