Hi,

I'm trying to add a user to my Language Weaver subscription (Account Id: 11939) and get this error message:

"Failed to create user. Email address is already used.
Trace Id: lwui.xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx."

I have double-checked and the user's email is not in use.

Can you help me solve this problem?

flag words or word groups from source segment as DNT

Hi,

is there a way to flag words or word groups in source segment as DNT (right before they are sent to LW) so they are not touched/translated by Language Weaver. Converting them to tags is not an option as the files are already prepared by client and we have own lists in a tool that checks content right before translation only.

In this case it’s within Trados but it could as well be from any other tool via the API.

Hi,

Why do I receive this message while trying to enable the Language Weaver?
The translation provider "language weaver cloud" couldn't be opened...
Is it possible for LW to be applied throughout the file and enabled on the side of the PM, but disabled on my side?
Is there any solution for this?

I tried to rename the settings files under the Studio18 folder, but the error still appears.

XML translation problem with Language Weaver

We translated with Trados Cloud and the internal Language Weaver for the last years. Now we had to change to the Language Weaver Cloud.

But when we translate XML Files with the Language Weaver it makes troubles with tables.

I haven't found any settings to fix this.

How can I translate a document that has more than one languages and also data in tables which are pasted as picture instead of text?

I tried to translate a PDF document that had both French and Dutch in it. It also had multiple excel tables (in French) pasted as pictures instead of text. Weaver only translated the French texts while keeping the Dutch texts as it is and it also could not translate the pictures. Is there a way to do it all in one go?

Unable to pre-translate a file in Studio 2024 with Language Weaver

Hi!

I'm trying to pre-translate a file GER-POR using Language Weaver, and nothing happens (the target column remains blank). I added the TM "AnyTM: Language Weaver Cloud" and I have the 1-year subscription plan included in the purchase of Studio 2024.

I used it already and it was working. I have no idea what's wrong.

Translation into pt-PT via API

Hello,

According to the Language Weaver documentation (https://developers.languageweaver.com/api/lw/common/language-codes.html) the language code that should be used for translating content via API into Portuguese for Portugal is "ptp". However, if I use this language code in an appropriate API request I receive the following error message: "Invalid language_pairs with id engptp_generic for account with id 17,849"

Everything works fine with other language codes (translation into other target languages).

This issue can cause problems with external integrations with Language Weaver. For example, the Phrase TMS connector to Language Weaver doesn't work properly with PT-PT as target language exactly for this reason, which is causing us problems.

Can you please check it.

Login to Language Weaver portal failed

Good morning,
I can't log in to portal.languageweaver.com with my RWS ID.
I receive the message:
“You are not allowed to login to Language Weaver. Please use another account or contact your Language Weaver administrator.”

I just bought Trados Studio Freelance subscription and Language Weaver Starter.

I have tried to follow all instruction videos and forum suggestions I have found but it seems that there is an issue with my credentials.

I would like to subscribe to a monthly translation service of 5 million characters, but my account is expired and there is no subscription function interface in the web interface, so I cannot subscribe. Please help me reactivate my account so that I can complete the subscription service.

Dictionary is not in drop down

I created a Dictionary with one phrase that should not be translated and set to a particular language. Now if I go to the portal I do not find the dictionary in the "Add Dictionary..." drop down. Please advised what I'm doing wrong.

Language Weaver subscription for Trados Academic Partner expired

The University of Groningen is a Trados Academic Partner and we can currently work with Trados 2024 desktop and on the cloud without any issues.

However, our Language Weaver subscription expired June 7th 2024 and we can no longer add a LW Machine Translation engine to a project (see image).

Is it possible to activate this again?

We are explainnig post-editing soon so it would be very useful.

Uploading files fail

Hello all,

Apologies if this is the wrong forum for this, but recently we've had issues with Language Weaver when we upload files.

It just keeps loading and then the page is completely blank, there's no error message. Is there something I'm missing?

We're a small flower delivery company in Belgium working with various languages and we recently updated our systems but I can't see where this is coming from.

Inconsistent ability to log in to Language Weaver

I am an admin on my group's Language Weaver account. I was able to log in under Edge and perform translations as usual; however, when I try to log in under Chrome I get the error message "Hello Chris Carter / We could not find an active Language Weaver account associated with this email address"

Since the message addressed me by name, it was obviously able to find my account by my email and associate it with my name. A colleague gets the same error message (tailored to her) when she tries to log in on either Edge or Chrome. Has anyone else seen this behavior?

[API] Translate a piece of text into mutliple languages at once

Is it possible to do an api call to LW where the input is one piece of text, and it returns 14 translations for different languages at once? Or do we need to make 14 separate calls for the translation?

I guess I'm looking at: Asynchronous Translation > Text Translation

There are relatively small pieces of text, 1-3 paragraphes at most

Tmx upload for adaptation of MT fails

I am trying to create an Adapted LP on Language Weaver. I am using a trial version.

In the portal, I go to Settings - Language Pairs - Create adapted LP. I would like to upload a tmx file as Adaptation set. The tmx is well-formed (version 1.4). However, the upload keeps failing.

Do you have any idea what might be the problem? The size is 200.000 segments.This is an example of the structure (sorry, I could not reproduce the indentation):
